It's not an iPhone, it's a big ass table

I already wrote about Microsoft Surface. You know, that touchscreen table which allows you to share photos, send e-mail and play music? Well, here's a little video introduction ... (not done by Microsoft though).

Mmh. On this blog of the 10th february 2006 I found this film with this comment: The technology is multi-touch screens, developed at NYU (as per post on the Cult of Mac blog). And the interesting part is that Apple has patented these interactions, which means... a TabletMac? Is this once again Microsoft copying innovative and most creative technology? Microsoft to me just seems to lack exactly those two most important things: Innovative thinking and Creativity. Is C# not a one to one copy of the opensource standard Java? I could go on and on...

By the way: @Tijs: I l-o-v-e your webdesign. It's just gourgous! Keep on the strong work!!!

@Rodschaaa: I've seen some multi-touch solutions before (for in-store advertising and things like that), the technology definitely is not new (but I don't think MS is claiming it's invented multi-touch screens). What I like about Surface is the fact that it shows how this technology can be integrated in our daily lives. I'm not the one to defend MS, but I think they did a good job doing so.
