- We're moving into an awesome new office building
Posted on 26 November 2007 in Nocus, Work and Office
After weeks of mistery we finally got to visit the new Nocus office building this morning. New perhaps isn't the appropriate word as it is in fact a restored factory, but boy does it look great! Unfortunately I can't show you any photos yet, as they still have some papers to sign. I suppose that won't take weeks, so check my Flickr shortly ;-). .. read more - MetaTale cartoons

We scored quite a lot of buzz the last few days - both positive and negative - because of the second MetaTale Top 100 release. I especially like the negative/critical ones (those with decent arguments that is) as they add interesting views to the discussions we often face ourselves. Nevertheless, they don't always have to talk serious ... - I was just wondering (one comment)

Okay, hypothetical question.Really, don't know why this just popped up my mind ...How long would it take an average candidate prime minister to finally acknowledge his incompetence and let someone else try and form a new government? Let's say either the number of days or months are accepted answers. - Mobile (three comments)

I did a presentation on mobile this morning at C-MD. It was roughly based on my thesis presentation, but I added some more sociological backgrounds and did a small part on mobile trends. It's available for download from Slideshare or you can just check it below. - Major MetaTale update (one comment)
Posted on 16 November 2007 in Metatale and Work
We're currently finishing the last bits and pieces for a major MetaTale update next week. I'm pretty excited about the upcoming version: we've been working hard on the algorithm and the user interface and they have both improved dramatically. The last few weeks we've been running some real-life scenarios in order to tune the algorithm. It was ki .. read more - Ellen Feiss is on Facebook

I just noticed that Ellen Feiss - the stoned bummer girl - has a Facebook profile. I'm not the only one who noticed though, as she's got about 350 Facebook friends. Still it's quite cool to see that someone mythical is so close. If you'd like to know what Ellen has been doing since the 2002 switch-to-Apple commercial, you should check her Wik .. read more - Magenta

You can write lengthy chapters about corporate responsibility, but if you patent a color and then sue other companies for using that color, chances are consumers will only recall you as that money grabbing brand with the ugly pink logo. - Leopard stack overlays (five comments)
Posted on 11 November 2007 in Apple, Leopard and Mac
@junkiesxl just tweeted this truly cool tip (original here) about Leopard stacks. While stacks are adding great value to OSX, it's true that it's sometimes hard to spot the difference between a regular file and a stack in the dock. The stack overlay icons provided in the download file really make the stacks stand out. Something Apple should co .. read more - Nocus is hiring

Just letting you know that - apart from a creative designer - we're looking for an extra web developer to join the NOCUS team (either as an employee or freelancer). You should be strong at PHP, XHTML, XML, SQL, web services and javascript/ajax and passionate about the internet. We'd love to work with someone who - aside from the obvious technica .. read more - Facebook stole my idea (one comment)

Well ... sort of. In fact they only came up with something very similar. I recently started documenting a new service allowing people to become brand fans an then recommend those brands to their social networking friends. And then Facebook launched Facebook ads. Back to the drawing board ....
