  • Markdown support for Highrise and Basecamp (three comments)
Posted on 24 May 2008 in Highrise, Basecamp, Markdown and Fluid
I love Highrise and use it all the time, both at work and for my freelance business. One thing that bothers me however is the "plain text only" approach: Highrise doesn't support any markup methods (Textile, Markdown, ...) at all and it doesn't look like 37signals is planning to do so any time soon (in fact, they're considering to remove the cur .. read more
  • So where's everyone when Twitter is down? (three comments)
Posted on 20 May 2008 in Twitter and Rant

@niggler (who happens to work with Nielsen) posted a tweet pointing to an interesting press release this afternoon about Nielsen TotalWeb. Basically TotalWeb integrates data from both Nielsen Mobile and Nielsen Online to show the unique audience for more than 200 leading (US) websites. That's pretty interesting, and so are the results. In gen .. read more
  • 2008 is the year of mobile: here's the proof (one comment)
Posted on 12 May 2008 in Mobile, Trends, Book and Mobile Web
We already had the devices, applications and data plans, and soon we'll have the users as well. These For Dummies books may prove all too easy or even plain silly, but that's basicly because they're not written to be read by early adopters. It's great to see such a book being announced, as it indicates things are really moving forward. From .. read more
