Twistory now supports time tracking tweets
Since the Twistory launch exactly three weeks ago, I've been working on bugs and improvements. Meanwhile I've thought about the direction in which Twistory should be heading, based on the feedback I received and the talks I've had. While some people suggested to implement to do-like features, I'd prefer to stick to Twistory's core (being history). I like to see Twistory as a Twitter backlog organizer, providing a quick overview of what you've been doing the last few days or weeks.
Time becomes an important element in that perspective, so I decided to integrate time tracking tweets (I already talked about them during my WebCamp presentation) before anything else. These tweets basically allow you to tell Twistory to ignore the default 60 second tweet period, instead combining a starting and ending tweet to clearly indicate a certain time slot. These are regular Twitter posts, starting with either "t" (start) or "/t" (end) to indicate the period. In the exemple screenshot above I posted these two tweets:
And that's really all you need to do. If you've got a Twistory alpha account, try it out yourself and do let me know what you think!

Dude, I have been looking for this for a long time. I can't find a single time tracking/twitter setup that takes this extra step of timing tasks. It seems much more natural to me than the plethora of other time-tracking methods I've tried.
I would love to give it a try but am stuck in the beta line.
I'm excited to see how this works.
Is there a maximum length of time between the t and /t? I followed the pattern and the second (end) tweet was not recognized by twistory.
start tweet=> http://twitter.com/crisatunity/status/1007986557
end tweet=> http://twitter.com/crisatunity/status/1008340081
twistory=> http://twistory.net/user/crisatunity
Only the start tweet shows up in my calendar. Thanks for this wonderful tool.
