So yesterday was another wonderful Barcamp Antwerp. If you somehow weren't able to attend, you should definitely go through the presentations (and make sure you sign up for the next edition). I talked about the mobile web myself. Basically a shortened and updated version of the presentation I did a few weeks ago at KVIV. You can find it on Slide .. read more - Pomodoro in real life (three comments)

So last Saturday was Barcamp again, for the third time in Ghent. Probably the most intensive Barcamp I've attended so far (5 simultaneous presentation tracks!), but that's hardly a reason to complain. Thumbs up for PKZ! I talked about the Pomodoro Technique, a dead-easy time management technique, helping you increase focus (and productivity). I .. read more - Singletasking presentation (one comment)

Today was Barcamp Antwerp (second one in two months actually), this time located at the Antwerp Zoo and therefore called Zoocamp. Filip took care of the wonderful organization and managed to invite a number of not-so-obvious attendees, turning Barcamp once again into one of the more inspiring (web) events around. You can find some of the presen .. read more - What was I doing? (one comment)

I found this little graph in Nick's Twitter the other day and saved it to my desktop. It shows the results of a Basex study (June 2008) on a typical information worker's day. An average, we spend about one third of our days doing things we shouldn't be doing at all (either because we're distracted or interrupted). I'll be talking about this - .. read more - I Heart Phone Barcamp presentation

Yesterday's Barcamp Antwerpen was an absolute hit. While I was a little worried beforehand the almost endless online discussions on "what is Barcamp" would have some kind of a negative impact on the turnout, this edition was actually one of the most interesting ones I've attended so far (we actually got kicked out of the building at 6.30 while C .. read more - Barcamp presentation video

During my public relations studies, we regularly had to present in front of a camera. When the video was replayed afterwards, fellow students had to judge and critique. A horrible experience, every time again. I just had the exact same feeling when my girlfriend was watching my Barcamp presentation. Well, it's great LVB taped the presentation (i .. read more - Ttrack Barcamp presentation (four comments)

I'm at Barcamp Ghent right now and just finished my presentation on Ttrack, a brand new Twitter app I've been working on the last few weeks. I'll write some more about Ttrack sometime soon, but the presentation is up for download on SlideShare already. - Twistory launched during Mobile WebCamp (four comments)

Yesterday was Mobile WebCamp Hasselt, Belgium's very first mobile-only barcamp edition. To me, barcamps really are one of the most inspiring conferences to go to, and so was this edition. Kirsten and Dorien really did a great job setting it all up. I took the opportunity to present (check the presentation) a new project I've been working on .. read more - Join the very first Mobile WebCamp in Belgium (two comments)

CityLive's brand new Community Manager is organizing a Mobile WebCamp on April 26 and there's a lot of good reasons to go there: 2008 is the year of the mobile web breakthrough ;-) this is the very first Mobile WebCamp in Belgium. I checked with BVLG and he confirmed all participants will therefore receive one extra community point. a .. read more - Barcamp (two comments)

I just read Bruno's thoughts on Barcamp #4. It was indeed a little disappointing that a number of the 70+ registered people in the end couldn't make it to Brussels. I was really looking forward to meeting some of them. It was also true that there wasn't this typical exciting "yeah-we're-at-Barcamp" atmosphere you could notice during previous edi .. read more - PureBlog (three comments)

I don't know whether this is breaking news or I'm just late to the party (I'm afraid it may well be the latter). François Lamotte yesterday told me there's a French counterpart of Stubru's HypeChannel, called PureBlog. It's broadcast on Saturdays (17-20h) and Sundays (16-19h) on Pure FM (which is part of RTBF) and presented by Damien Van Achter. .. read more - It's Barcamp time!

Somewhat later then expected, I finished my master's thesis prototype tonight. Just in time to launch it during Barcamp Brussels tomorrow. It'll probably still feature quite a number of annoying bugs and it's missing some functionality I definitely want to add, but I'm happy I can demo it tomorrow and hopefully gather some interesting new ideas .. read more - Yet another ego-marketing tip of the week (four comments)

Quick post today, as I'm rushing to finish the written part of my master's thesis so I can send it in for reviewal and meanwhile doing some final tests to make sure I can demo the thesis application at Barcamp. I'll hopefully find some time tomorrow to prepare a little bit of a presentation. Anyway, let's talk ego-marketing. The two previous ti .. read more
