So last Saturday was Barcamp again, for the third time in Ghent. CityLive's brand new Community Manager is organizing a Mobile WebCamp on April 26 and there's a lot of good reasons to go there: 2008 is the year of the mobile web breakthrough ;-) this is the very first Mobile WebCamp in Belgium. I just read Bruno's thoughts on Barcamp #4. It was indeed a little disappointing that a number of the 70+ registered people in the end couldn't make it to Brussels. I don't know whether this is breaking news or I'm just late to the party (I'm afraid it may well be the latter). François Lamotte yesterday told me there's a French counterpart of Stubru's HypeChannel, called PureBlog. It's broadcast on Saturdays (17-20h) and Sundays (16-19h) on Pure FM (which is part of RTBF) and presented by Damien Van Achter. .. read more

Somewhat later then expected, I finished my master's thesis prototype tonight. Just in time to launch it during Barcamp Brussels tomorrow. It'll probably still feature quite a number of annoying bugs and it's missing some functionality I definitely want to add, but I'm happy I can demo it tomorrow and hopefully gather some interesting new ideas .. read more
