I did a last-minute presentation on personal branding yesterday, as part of the C-MD social communities course weekend. I only had a few hours to prepare, so I basically started from last year's presentation and updated it with some more recent cases and discussions.

Jobat offering a LinkedIn service?

Belgian jobsite Jobat has this fullpage advertisement in today's edition of De Standaard, promoting its new LinkedIn service. I've got no idea what the service exactly is about, as both the advertisiment and the Jobat website provide few information. Jokes announcement a few weeks ago doesn't make me much smarter either. Apparently 18% of the people participating with the poll on CVverificatie.nl (which is a site aiming at Dutch HR professionals) always Google an applicant's name. 68% does so depending on the job.
