  • Social media is the new punk rock (one comment)
Posted on 1 July 2009 in Music, Social Media and Video
Well no, not really. But if this video gets it right (at least some points sound reasonable), I finally know why I'm liking all these social media. I've always been into punkrock (both actively and passively) and according to Last.fm, I'm still quite a fan of the genre.
  • Look who we met while driving home (four comments)
Posted on 12 April 2008 in Music, Celebrities, No Use For A Name and Regi
So we went to see the No Use For A Name show at Hof Ter Lo yesterday and it was great (check YouTube). Mainly old songs and some tracks from the brand new Feel good record of the year. Anyway, that's not wat I was going to write about. While driving back home, we stopped at Q8 Ranst for a coffee. Now guess who was shopping there too: über-cel .. read more

  • Chuck Ragan (four comments)

One of my current favorites is Chuck Ragan (he used to play with Hot Water Music back when I listened to them a lot).

Posted on 14 February 2008 in Music, Youtube, Rem and Mashup
Just found out about this really cool project through Serge's tweet. REM - the band - has recently released a new single (which sounds pretty good by the way) called Supernatural Superserious. In addition to the single, they launched a website where you can download 11 different open source (high quality) music videos to the song. Visitors are .. read more

Posted on 6 January 2008 in No Use For A Name, Get A Live and Music
Hooray, No Use For A Name is touring in Europe again this spring and they'll be playing a Get A LiVe show at Hof ter Loo on April 11. I've grown apart from punkrock music the last few years, but NUFAN was one of my favorite bands while I was a teenager and a major source of inspiration for the band I used to play in at that time. Yeah!Great to .. read more
  • The Bloodhound Gang nostalgia (two comments)
Posted on 15 May 2007 in Bloodhound Gang, Music and Get A Live
About ten years ago I bought the legendary One Fierce Beer Coaster album by The Bloodhound Gang, after I heard the Fire Water Burn single (which probably everybody knows). I guess together with The Offspring's Smash it must have been somewhat of an introduction to punk rock music. It wasn't really punk rock of course. They rather mixed some dif .. read more
